Location: Cypress Mountain 6000 Cypress Bowl Road
I haven’t been skiing in over 15 years and in the past 3 months I’ve been 3 times. Sometimes it is like riding a bicycle and it takes time for the muscle memory to return. But after a morning of tumbles and falls, it was time to eat.
We went straight to the bar cause I deserved a nice cold beer on a snowy af day. I also ordered the quad burger because I worked hard for those calories. I won’t do it justice so here is the official description.
The Quad has been a staple on the bar menu at Cypress Mountain since the 1990s, back to the days of Growlies Bar & Grill in the Black Mountain Lodge! It's built with a 6-ounce grass-fed all-beef patty and the big-4 toppings: caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, bacon and a slice of aged cheddar. The Quad Burger is designed to satisfy our hungry skiers and riders appetites after a day on the slopes and it's remained our top seller for over 25 years.
Here’s a pro tip, if you see an empty table, go to it and sit. Too many polite Canadians who always stand at the front to wait to get seated, guess what, they’ll never come to seat you.
I’ve been there all 3 times for lunch and I have to say, it’s good. The only other time I didn’t get the quad burger was when they were backed up in the kitchen so I ordered the chicken strips and fries ( it was meh).
Rating 3/5 where else are you going to eat on the mountain?
