The goal of this evening was to have cheap sushi for under $30. We're trying to watch our spending so we decided to give Sushi Bang a try.
Their menu is pretty extensive and it also extends to their walls. They have happy hour specials, box specials, create your own roll combo specials.
We ordered the BC roll, spicy tuna roll, dynamite roll, wild salmon nigiri combo, and chicken karaage.
Chicken karaage was good, came with a chiptole mayo to dip, it's different from other places that are like nuggets. Sushi bang does it like a cutlet and then cut it up to smaller pieces.
The BC roll was good, comes drizzled with a teriyaki sauce. The spicy tuna roll was probably my favourite as it had nice crunchy tempura bits in it. The dynamite roll was ordinary. As for the wild salmon nigiri combo, it didn't taste fresh. Both the tuna and salmon suffered from some serious after taste. The combo also came with a tuna roll or a negitoro roll. **I also thought their rice was subpar, almost missing vinegar**
Overall, it was ok, I'd probably order Foodora from here next time if I get lazy and just want to be full without breaking the bank.
