I haven't tried either of the locations before but Lillian said I had to try it. The food was different from most other Japanese restaurants. The closest resemblance is Iron Bowl Sushi in Port Coquitlam with their tower. The Sushi Bella tower was pretty good though, chunks of fish and the crab salad in the middle. I also tried to sushi pizza with salmon and tuna which was very good. The fried chicken was ok but I would pass if I were you. We also had this aburi salmon sashimi thing but I forgot the name of it, it was really good but the portion for that was small.
The only complaint I had was the fact that I wasn't offered or told about the beer special. We ordered a pitcher which was $18 (which is 4 pints or less). Their special that night was $3.99 pints which mean it was cheaper to get the 4 pints. When I asked if they could do anything about it, they said no they couldn't price adjust. I tried, but in the long run, I think it's dumb to lose a repeat customer over $2. Lillian was saying, if she saved us $2, she would have given the server a 20% tip. The lesson, don't lose repeat customers over small things like $2.
