Location: 3289 Main Street, Vancouver, BC
Meal: The Ring of Fire platter (yes, we ordered it), Cider on special, and mason jar of coconut-lime mojito.
Service: Almost too good, like checked in way too often.
Atmosphere: Loud, inside was a bit warm but decorated with crazy stuff. We sat outside on the patio which was nice, but Main St. is a bit loud.
Bottom line: I've always wanted to try The Eatery but I always found it to be way too far of a drive. My friend and I's Main St. food tour continues with The General Public which is related to The Eatery. Not knowing what to order, I wanted to try a bit of everything so a platter it was. The Ring of Fire (that Beta5 ice cream...) which consisted of like 6 rolls, 2 of them deep fried and the rest was a bit similar in taste and texture.
When we ordered drinks, my friend totally got upsold to a mason jar. If you're not a drinker, do not order the mason jar, it's a lot of drank. Someone got a bit tipsy from it, I won't name names.
Overall, it's a great place to hang out, but the bill was something else. PRICEY. Like Minami pricey.
Out the door price: Bill came out to around $70 with tip
Repeat: No, too pricey
Final Rating: 3.5/5
