I've been eating a lot of Japanese food lately but hearing about a new restaurant in Port Coquitlam, I say bring it on.
Location: 1150- 1502 BROADWAY ST, port coquitlam, Port Coquitlam
This is a brand new complex and it's hidden behind Starbucks so it may be hard to spot from the road. But the interior of the Iron Bowl is very nice. They have a lot of private rooms which make for a great place to have small gatherings and the atmosphere is great for conversations.
We ordered the Dragon roll (I don't recall), chopped scallop roll, Maryhill Tower, and a chicken teriyaki entree.
Everything was pretty good, my only criticism is that the crispy yam strings were stale and not freshly done. Chicken teriyaki didn't have the skin on which is good for some people, I rather than crispy skin chicken teriyaki.
Definitely a good addition to the Poco area! Prices are reasonable but their special rolls are pretty pricey. Bento boxes on the menu looked legit though.
Let me know what you think of it.
