Location: 5411 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC
Meal: Leaf wrapped brisket steam in a gravy ontop of taro, Xiao Long Bao (XLB), Shanghainese fried rice cakes, and noodles with gravy meat sauce. **Please note, do not order by pictures cause the captions don't match the pictures**
Atmosphere: It's pretty loud in here, situated in the old breakfast place for Best Western.
Service: Service was quick, food came quick, and they were attentive. No complaints this time.
Bottom line: We don't usually come here for dinner, mostly for lunch, but I was happy to find out that they still served dim sum at night. For examples, the XLB and also the noodles I didn't take pictures of (noodles with meat gravy sauce) was on their dim sum menu (cheaper).
The first dish which was the brisket steamed in a banana leaf with their special sauce and taro was AMAZING. Second dish was the XLB and I have to admit that they're probably the best place for XLB in Metro Vancouver (that's debatable). Rice cakes were good, no complaints here.
Out the door price: $47 with tip
Repeat: Yes, if you want quality Shanghainese food. Reservations required for lunch.
Final Rating: 4 out of 5 Quins.
