Location: Marutama Ra-men - 780 Bidwell Street, Vancouver, BC
Meal: ZENBU RAMEN aka The Works - the most expensive one, plus a bottle of Asahi
Atmosphere: I felt like I was in Japan, the smell of the restaurant reminded me of Japan. The seats were massive and the first thought I had was the 3 bears story with porridge.
Service: Besides the wait outside which is expected, the service was quick and the food came even quicker.
Bottom line: Wow. So. Fuggin. Good. I was afraid it was going to be too massive but the portion was perfect. Fatty pork, MELTED IN MY MOUTH (mouth currently salivating), sliced pork was so SOFT (incredible), kale was a nice touch, and the egg. Dat egg. Wow, perfectly cooked. Finally the thing that tied everything together, the broth. Pretty amazing, definitely top two ramen places in Vancouver.
Out the door price: Around $29 including tip
Repeat: Yes, if I'm down there but not often, come on, it's almost a Prime Rib Classic at the Keg.
