Location: Wang's Shanghai Cuisine - 3328 Kingsway, Vancouver
Meal: Noodles with meat sauce gravy, soup dumplings, pot stickers, shredded pork rice cakes.
Atmosphere: Very small, very cramped, could barely fit all our dishes on our table for two.
Service: Service was typical of Asian places. No tea refill.
Bottom line: My nostalgia owned me. I remembered that it used to be a lot better when it was at Crystal mall. My noodles with meat sauce gravy was too soupy, soup dumplings were ok (meat was lacking), pot stickers were weird shaped (sort of chewy), and shredded pork rice cakes were a bit bland. For a place with so many grandmas working in the back, you'd figure it would be the bomb.
Out the door price: $28 tip included
Repeat: No, as T says, the rice cakes was missing the burnt taste. She gave it a 2/5, ouch.
