Location: 3420 Cambie Street Vancouver, BC
Meal: Satay Beef noodle soup and the 15-hour brisket rice bowl
Service: Service was good, water refilled during the meal, a quick check on how we're doing.
Atmosphere: Nice and quiet, plenty of tables.
Bottom line: Our exploration of Cambie St. continues with Viet House. Prices were reasonable, Banh Mi's at $5 and phos around $10-11 (one size). They have some interesting dishes on their menu that isn't commonly seen at other Vietnamese restaurants.
The satay beef noodle soup has quite the kick so be careful if you don't do spicy food. It actually made me sweat... But Lillian pointed out that it wasn't as good as Pho Goodness. She ordered the 15-hour brisket bowl and it was pretty legit. Brisket was melt in your mouth and the rice had the gravy spread over it.
Out the door price: Under $25 with tip
Final Rating: 4/5 The brisket was something special
