Location: 1-5901 Broadway Burnaby, BC
Meal: Pho Beef Soup (beef, brisket, tripe, tendon, meatball) and a black coffee
Service: Table service, I wished they used numbers on their menu so I wouldn't slaughter the language.
Atmosphere: Very small restaurant but nicely redone. It used to be a bakery. Large TV if you enjoy sports.
Bottom line: This rating is based on my preference for pho and the broth. This was not a broth that I enjoyed because I felt it was overly spiced. I think there was cinnamon used and it even reminded me of chai tea. The broth is a lot darker compared to my other places that I frequent. The noodles felt a bit clumpy and the meat was definitely overdone. Brisket was tough to bite into, meatball was good, tripe was good, I didn't eat the tendon. Besides that, the coffee was a nice dessert for me. Again my rating is based on my preference for Pho, I would say give it a shot and make your own judgement.
